Teledyne Odom Release New MB1 Multibeam
January 9, 2012
Teledyne Odom Hydrographic has launched the MB1 Multibeam Echo Sounder. This 120° sonar operates on user-selectable frequency from 170 kHz to 220 kHz. MB1 features phase & amplitude bottom detection, 24 bit water column backscatter data, sidescan, snippets, light weight titanium & acetal construction, optional integrated motion sensor and a GPS heading system.

By collaborating with Teledyne RDI's engineering team, Odom's platform can support all features required by today's multibeam users that are typically only found in expensive high-end systems. The MB1 is the first of several new products being released in 2012. Odom will be demonstrating the new compact MB1 multibeam system at the upcoming Hypack conference in San Diego.
Odom will also be joining ROMOR on our booth at this year's Canadian Hydrographic Conference in Niagara Falls this May. Please join us to see the MB1 first hand and discuss any applications or questions you may have.
