Hydrographic & Geophysical Survey
GPS Receivers
In association with Hemisphere GPS for the marine markets, ROMOR provides full
service distribution for GPS Positioning, GIS and Wireless products to marine clients
for Canada. Hemisphere GPS designs and manufactures innovative, cost-effective
GPS and complimentary products for positioning and guidance control applications.
Marine GPS Receivers Land Survey Receivers Antennas OEM
Motion Sensors, Gyrocompasses & INS
In Canada, ROMOR offers a range of highly accurate sensors for heading, motion measurement and inertial navigation through Teledyne TSS SG Brown. The systems
are designed to provide accurate heading, heave, roll and pitch in easy-to-use, install
and configure, one-box solutions.
Attitude & GPS Positioning Systems
ROMOR also offers the CodaOctopus F180 series of precision attitude and positioning systems. These are simple-to-use, off-the-shelf products that brings accurate positioning and motion data into the most dynamic offshore conditions for precision marine survey applications worldwide.
Echosounders
Single Beam – ROMOR offers a full fleet of single and dual frequency, single beam
echo sounders manufactured by Teledyne Odom Hydrographic. These systems are
used worldwide because of their simplicity, reliability and versatility.

Multibeam – The new Teledyne Odom MB1 Multibeam Echo Sounder operates on user-selectable frequency from 170 kHz to 220 kHz at 120°. MB1 features phase & amplitude bottom detection, 24 bit water column backscatter data, sidescan, snippets, light weight titanium & acetal construction, optional integrated motion sensor and a GPS heading system.
Transducers – Through the partnership with Teledyne Odom, ROMOR offers a full
range of single and dual frequency, side looking and wide bandwidth transducers.
If required, custom mounting adapters and configurations can be created to fulfill
fitting requirements.
Bathymetric Sidescan Systems
The Teledyne Benthos C3D Side Scan Sonar Imaging System uses a multi-element receiver array and a patented multiple angles-of-arrival technique called Computed Angle-of-Arrival Transient Imaging (CAATI), offering a high resolution
swath bathymetryand side scan sonar system.
Sub-Bottom Profiling Systems

Applied Acoustics manufactures a variety of sub-bottom profiling sparker and boomer systems to accommodate the range of challenges faced by geophysicists. These can vary from coastal or deep waters to soft sediment or harder rock layers.
USBL Positioning Systems
The Applied Acoustics Easytrak is an Ultra Short Baseline (USBL) underwater positioning and tracking system centred on a multi-element, single transducer that transmits and receives acoustic signals to dynamic subsea targets from which range, bearing and depth information can be determined.
Geophysical Survey Acquisition Systems
CodaOctopus acquisition systems are available for all sidescan sonar and sub-bottom profilers including the latest digital sonars and popular analogue systems.
Hydrophones
ROMOR provides Teledyne Benthos Hydrophones for many oceanographic and geophysical applications where precision must be most accurate.
Sound Velocity Profiling Systems

The Teledyne Odom Digibar Series of Sound Velocity sensors offers the most cost-effective means of obtaining accurate water column sound velocities. Used primarily to calibrate acoustic systems, the units offer a fast and safe method for sound velocity calibration as compared to the traditional "bar-check".
Timebox Time Tagging Solution

Eiva has in cooperation with the Norwegian Time Group initiated a project on defining the ultimate time taggin solution to high level survey. They have there initiated and completed the development of a dedicated sensor time unit called the TimeBox.
Ocean Survey & Positioning Software
The EIVA software product suite comprises software for all aspects of marine
surveying, from integrated navigation and data acquisition through post-processing
and final charting.
Thermal Data Recorders & Printers
EPC Labs manufactures reliable Thermal Graphic Recorders and Printers, along with High Speed Plotters.
